Sims 4 Crash and freeze ( at start / when I click on screen )

This has been happening for some time now and I tried resetting and deleting all the files in my laptop but nothing I've tried works so far. When I start the game my screen goes like white - black - white - black and white again and after that it sometimes just freezes like that or the game opens but when I click anywhere on screen, window goes small and freezes and I have to close the game from task manager. I use HP Victus 4050 and all my other games except sims 4 works perfectly ( wuthering waves, marvel rivals and such games that force the video card ) I really need help

I would be very grateful to everyone who responds and tries to help -

Hello cookieeeslove, let's figure out together what's going on!
First things first, try a Clean Boot.

If that didn't do the trick, also try doing a Clean Installation of your GPU drivers.
You should have an option when you choose the "Custom" installation, like the screenshot below.

Other graphics cards from AMD or Intel have similar settings.

Check that the correct GPU is selected.
On Windows, go to Settings -> Display -> Graphics -> Find The Sims 4 in the list (or add it if it is not there) and set your High-Performance GPU in the GPU preference field (usually an AMD or Nvidia graphics card).

    Here's what it looks like.

If the issues persist, I suggest uninstalling every Mod or CC (if you have any of those), backing up the Sims 4 folder, and resetting the game.

Lastly, if none of these worked, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

    Keep us posted!

    That's awesome to hear!
What was the step that helped in your case? Was it a specific one or a combination of them?

    Have fun!
