Sims 4 crashing before main menu

I recently installed some new mods and went to start up my game to test them out. but before I even loaded into the main menu my game crashed. So far I've removed all new mods, and all know broken ones. Restarted the EA app, cleared, it cache, and uninstalled and reinstalled it. I also repaired the Sims 4 and when that didn't work i uninstalled and reinstalled it. Along with other known tactics I disabled all my mods and the game still wouldn't load. I tried out the clean boot trouble shooting but still had the same issue. (SEND HELP)

  • mucdyn4yam1z  Please try removing your saves folder.  If this works, create a new save, no need to spend much time on it, save your progress, and quit.  Renumber the new save so it doesn't have the same number as any of your old saves, then add your old saves to the new saves folder and try again to play.  You can use Load Game to select your main save.

If this doesn't help, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
