christar17 It sounds like you know a little more about computers than you're giving yourself credit for. But do you have other games you could try to run? They'd need to be at least a bit demanding (not Sims 2 for example) to be a valid comparison. If you don't, Apex Legends is free, but if you'd rather not bother, or don't have the space to install it, we can come back to this later.
Since your computer restarts, power delivery is the first suspect. Have you confirmed that the fan on your PSU is able to spin and isn't blocked by dust or other debris? The issue could also be the power strip/surge protector or the wall outlet. So if you can, please switch out both. It's not a good idea to have your computer plugged directly into the wall in general, but it's fine for a quick if you don't have another power strip available.
Please also provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
