Hi! This same crashing during the loading screens is happening to me as well. I tried doing this but once I ran the windows powershell system scan it said there were corrupted files and that windows resource protection was unable to fix some of them. This is what it said exactly: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located atwindir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offlinerepairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag.PS C:\Windows\system32> What do I do now? Also here is the DxDiag report I ran. Please help!

Brooke11100 I've split your post into its own thread because the other thread was a few years old. I also couldn't read your dxdiag (a site issue, not your fault), and now it's vanished. So please try uploading the dxdiag again, and I'll take a look. Please also let me know whether this issue happens in new saves as well as your main one(s).

I took out the sims 4 folder from my EA folder like you had suggested to figure out whether it was the game or the saves and the problem still occurred with the new automatically generated folder (meaning it was the game, not the saves). Here is my dxdiag again.

Brooke11100 The first issue to address is the very little free storage on C. With only 5 GB free, even Windows might not have enough room to maneuver. I'd recommend clearing at least another 25 GB, more if you can manage it so you have some breathing room. Your external drive has plenty of space, so consider what you can offload there. Once you've done that, run DISM and sfc again. Here are the commands, in case you'd need to dig them up again, with another one that I'd suggest running first this time around: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /CheckhealthDISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealthsfc /scannow If DISM... Checkhealth comes up clean, proceed to the next one; otherwise, stop there and let me know. And list the new sfc result as well. Most of the Sims 4 crashes look like the result of conflicting software. Razer apps are the most common culprit, so if you have any installed (Synapse, Cortex, etc.), uninstall them and test again. You may be able to reinstall them safely, but please do test with them removed.

Okay I cleared my storage, and uninstalled razer synapse. MeluCodobelu I already told you what to do about the crashes, or at least the first obvious step. Please follow the instructions and let me know what happens. And if you get more crashing, please post a new dxdiag, one that you run after the game crashes after you've reinstalled the graphics driver.

Brooke11100 I apologize for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a while.

This error looks very much like what happens with conflicting software. Most apps would be disabled in a clean boot, but not everything. You mentioned uninstalling Razer Synapse, but did you reinstall it, or do you have other Razer apps present? These specifically can still be active in a clean boot, so please remove every single one that's present.

Additionally, if you have any files in ConfigOverride, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, please remove them.
