Sims 4 crashing intermittently
@puzzleaddict please would you mind helping me as well? Attaching my dxdiag, My game was closing initially within 10 minutes after opening when id place a plot from the gallery, so i decided to build a plot myself and lasted about an hour and then it still ended up closing abruptly while in build mode. i do use cc and gshade. Yesterday i attempted removing sims folder onto desktop so it made a new folder and its still crashing even after repairing game in EA. I recently got the new expension so was wondering if that's what's causing the issue? Please would greatly appreciate your insight!
denid00dle Your dxdiag shows that your C drive is almost completely full. 2.1 GB free space isn't enough for Windows to maneuver properly even when it's not running any demanding programs. Please try to clear another 25 GB or so and let me know whether it helps. If necessary, you can move data to E or F, or reinstall a game there. Since both are SSDs, you likely wouldn't notice a performance in Sims 4 or most games other than perhaps something very new.
If you get another crash, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent Sims 4 crash. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
