Sims 4 Demo Won't Open?

I found my email from EA last night letting me know I got the demo.  When I logged into Origin, it was in My Games, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a scam like the one mentioned in the sticky.  I downloaded the demo, but it won't open when I click on it.  I've tried opening it from Origin and the shortcuts on my desktop and start menu, and nothing happens.  I checked the system requirements for the demo, and my computer meets the needs.  Does anyone have any idea why it might not be working?

    Try logging out of Origin and back in again, simple but it may work.

    Try restarting Origin as administrator and see if this has any effect. Past this, check that your firewall/anti-virus aren't blocking the game or Origin.

    It might be worth downloading Peggle (It's free right now) to test if this has similar issues.

    The same thing is happening to me, and is happening with simcity as well. I've logged in and out multiple times, and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Sims 3 works fine, as well as sims two and I haven't downloaded my other games on this computer yet so I don't know about them.

    Could you post this info: 

    1. Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel
    2. Press Enter to proceed.
    3. A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.
    4. After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 4 Demo Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"
    5. Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.

    Hello! I've had the exact problem. I did as you said but there isn't any critical event for the sims 4 demo.

    Could you check in the task manager if you see any SIms 4 process starting at all.

    This seems to be an issue with your graphics drivers. 

    Try updating or reinstalling your graphics drivers.

    same problem here ☹️

    perfmon /rel -> nor red circle

    SIms 4 process starts and dissapear after a second.

    updated graphic driver but no ☹️
