Do you know many simmers have a freeze issue after the January patch? If you installed the For Rent pack recently you probably patched your game. So you problem *might* be patch related and not For Rent related.
I wish, na I downloaded it well over 12months ago & have been trying to fix it myself since but only just came across the EA forums & figured I’d ask for help
