I was gifted a copy of the SIMS 4 on Steam along with the Sims 1 and 2. I can run 1 and 2 but I cannot run TS4. I synced my Steam and EA accounts, but the EA account has an empty library. Do I have to re download the base game though EA to run it? And will I lose the DLC that came with the Legacy Bundle?
ESimon1189 Can you install Sims 4 through Steam? If so, can you launch it? If not, and you get an error, please post a screenshot. You do need to install the base game through Steam in order to use the packs you own in Steam; the DLC won't download at all if you install the game through the EA App.
Please also let me know what country you're in, and, if you use a VPN, whether it helps to disable it. You're the second person I've seen with this issue in general, and I'd like to compare notes.
Additionally, try again to launch Sims 4, through Steam, and when it fails, please create an EA App error report, as described here:

and post the report ID in a reply here. I'll send it along.
