Sims 4 has paused downloading and will not resume

I was downloading the sims 4 and it got to 82% and then the download paused. I clicked for it to resume and it will say resuming for about 30 seconds and then it will say download failed. My internet connection is working fine, but I have no idea what is wrong and why it will not download. PLEASE help me, I am beggining to get very frustrated becuase it had been downloading fine for about 6 hours and then all the sudden quit. I have tried everything I know how to do and the wait for customer service is over 3 hours!!!

    I too have this problem. Mine only got to 36%, so I stopped the download altogether. Then when I started it again, it didnt work at all and said my internet connection wasn't on, which is untrue. ☹️ I've been waiting for the sims 4 for mac for so long and I really want to play D:

    I just encountered the same problem. Seemed to resume when I right-clicked the game and selected 'View Games Details'.

    i have had this problem too, it got to 42% and I decided to pause, it took ages to pause, and i couldn't resume it.

    Windows? If so, right click the black thing at the bottom of your screen and hit task manager, hit right click on origin and hit end task, then go back on origin and it will say ''Resume update'' just don't click on that and just click on sims. Now hit the three dots and click cancel update, now all you need to do is just wait for it to finish!

    If you have any issues with Sims 4 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
