Sims 4 huge fps drop and lag after introducing the last event

After the last "Forever Friends" event and memory boost option introduced, the Sims 4 started to lag very often and drop fps, it is almost the same in new save and old saves. I tested it without any mods, with only cc, and with minimnal mods (only MCCC, updated), the lag is still there.
My specs are supposed to be more than enough to run the game, and i used to play in ultra graphic without any lag before. Nothing seems to help. I own almost every DLC (except Enchanted by nature, Adventure Awaits and Batuu). I noticed that even without mods (and with Memory boost) game uses 11GB of RAM which is a lot. It seems that to play the game with all DLC and some mods smoothly I need to update RAM to 32, which is crazy for Sims.

My specs

Processor Intel Core i7-107 10U CPU
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1650 with Max Q Design (updated drivers)
RAM 16GM
SSD 476.9 GB

I also got this message in the Reliability Monitor today.
    Setup Nahimic Mirroring.
    Issue. App was not installed.
Windows Installer executed installation of the product. Product: Setup Nahimic Mirroring. Version: 2.0.5.0. Language: 1033. Producer: TODO. Installation complete with condition: 1603.

However that is weird, cause when i open Nahimic it says everything is up to date.

puzzlezaddict  just an UPD: i repaired the game, it didnt help. I also checked that Nahimic was very outdated so i updated the drivers, still exited it via Task Manager, the lag is still there and it starts almost the moment i enter live mode.

I am very confused how it worked for the first time, and now all those steps do not help. I kept the mods folder exactly the same as when I tested it successfully for the first time (only MCCC + some CC hair, default skin and eyes).

puzzlezaddict Thank you so much for your help and looking for solution. I did the steps (memory boost off + exit Nahimic) and it seemed  to really help, I played for like an hour without this lag. However, after this step being succesful, I tried to return two script mods (UI cheats and Wants and Fears overhaul), after that the lag returned. I obviously took them out, restarted the game but the lag doesnt go away even after i fully restarted the laptop.

After a restart Nahimic didnt start to work autonomously, it isnt shown in Task Manager. There is no record of an issue from Reliability Monitor as of today. However, I checked that Nahimic caused errors two days ago.

I am attaching a new dxdiag here in case anything else can be found.

I am also thinking of repairing the game, maybe those mods cause some negative impact that doesnt simply go away by deleting them.

Thank you once egain, I was surprised how that solution worked at first.

  • Lisostep0306  Your dxdiag crashed while running and is therefore missing some information.  It might be a fluke, and there are a couple potential issues it does list that are worth addressing first.

Please don't use Memory Boost for now, not until the game is running as it should in normal mode.  Please also kill Nahimic in the Task Manager's background processes list before you open Sims 4.  It'll restart with Windows, but it should stay disabled until then.  If you don't see anything with Nahimic in the name, look for something called A-Volute.

If these don't help, please post a new dxdiag.  Please also look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor.  Click Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day.  Today is on the right.

Look for an error that happened during your most recent play session, after doing the above.  If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here.  If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.

Thank you for reaching out, attaching the DxDiag hereto. It shows I have Direct x12, dont know if this can be a potential issue.
