Sims 4 Insufficient Memory
Hi Guys!
Just want to put up a disclaimer: I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I'M DOING WITH COMPUTERS AND STUFF SO PLEASE BE PATIENT AND TALK TO ME LIKE YOU WOULD A CHILD.
Every time I open Sims 4, I get this message: "Your computer has insufficient memory to run The Sims 4 with your currently installed pack(s). This may lead to poor game stability."
The game seems to run fine except sometimes it lags a little, the sims stand there doing nothing, and actions aren't completed. However, this only tends to happen if I haven't turned my laptop off the night before.
I've checked my drive and it seems like I've got enough storage and I've also checked the requirements for the packs and game (I had enough storage)
The only pack I have is the new Cats and Dogs, I don't use CC or Mods, and this problem has only started happening since I got Cats and Dogs.
Anyone got a way I can fix this. Feel free to ask any questions but please bare in mind, if they are to do with my computer specs, you'll have to help me find the information.
(Running the latest Windows)
This is indeed a weird message and it has probably nothing to do with your disc space and more with your RAM. The game requires 4 GB of RAM with C&D but it seems your system might be using some of the RAM for the graphics card as you only have 3.5 GB usable (just a guess that this triggers the error since usually it's like 3.8)
Could be wrong here of course but as long as you don't get any real problems, just make sure you don't have a lot of other programs running in the back and do reboot your computer from time to time to make sure you can use all the RAM you have.
