"Sims 4 is already running"

Hi, so I bought sims 4 because its was on 75% discount and I installed origin and the game. The problem is that it appears that message and I already uninstalled and installed both origin and sims 4 ...

@danieloje99 This error usually has to do with an antivirus/firewall blocking the game. Please set exceptions in whatever app(s) you use for Origin.exe, TS4.exe, and TS4_x64.exe. If that doesn't help, check to see whether you've enabled Controlled Folder Access, a feature of Windows Defender. If so, here's how to change the settings:

mine has been broken for a week now. everything u want to go on sums 4 it breaks. I have went on every website and followed every instruction and nothing has worked. if someone on here has actually good advice please tell me if not don't

@SMITJG Do you get the "already running" error, and if so, have you tried everything suggested in this article?
