I pre-ordered the Sims 4 so when it came out on September 2nd I started to download it. It is now September 8th and the game has not fully downloaded and now instead of taking forever to download more of the game it is going backward!!!!!! It took about six hours to go to 75% downloaded to 88% then within 5 mins. it kicked me back to 75% then in another five 68%. Why is it doing this and if I can how do I fix it???
Community ManagerTalk to your internet provider. This sounds like an issue with your connection. Do you have anything else using your bandwidth like streaming Netflix or downloading large files? You may want to run a speed test at www.speedtest.net and report the results to your provider. They can tell you if you're getting the download speed you're supposed to.
Every one is searching this and having the same probelms but you don't see any help from Origin or EA. This is ridiclious, the older Sims games took this long. I also don't like downloading through Origin. I just want to be able to download th game to my computer and play it. Hopefully someone finds a way to speed up the process.
