Sims 4 keeps crashing at a certain point and I think it's due to reshade

So when I start up Sims 4 it lets me go through the menu and pick a save, but when I pick any household and try to load in it lets me into the loading screen and plays the music that plays right before you load in but it then cuts out and my game crashes. I feel like this is due to reshade since as soon as I downloaded it crashing started and even when I've uninstalled it through the start-up. I've already asked the reshade discord server but they didn't provide any solutions so I came here to ask.

I've also tried the game removing my cc/mod files I've recently downloaded but the problem still happens but I've also tried the game without any cc/mods and it's fine, so I'm not sure if it's reshade or maybe some mods need updating. (I've also deleted the exe files and uninstalled the game multiple times which I thought would've solved the problem.)

    @yujingscool  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

    If you get another crash, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

    And yes, uninstalling and reinstalling Sims 4 should have removed any Reshade-related files.

    Ok, I did the steps you asked before and Sims worked well so I started 50/50ing my CC until I found which CC was causing it. But now I have another problem where when I switch into Sims 4 it has a white screen before loading in which kind of bugs me since it doesn't let me do picture-in-picture anymore.

    @yujingscool  Does the white screen happen with no custom content present?  Please test again and see if you can identify the cc that's causing this.  If it's not cc-related, does it happen in both fullscreen and windowed mode?
