Sims 4 keeps crashing

My Sims 4 game keeps crashing after only playing for 10-15 minutes. This has been an issue for the past 5-6 months. Everything freezes, then it takes me straight to the EA home screen. I did have mods, but I figured that was the issue after a month or so, so I deleted all of them and cleared the Sims folder of everything the mods added. I'm not sure what the issue could be, any ideas? thanks in advance

  • natski45  You did do it right, and it looks like the problem is Sims 4's DirectX 9 mode, which isn't compatible with your laptop's graphics chip.  So please force the game to use DirectX 11 mode instead.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.

  • natski45  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
