Sims 4 keeps crashing

My Sims 4 game keeps crashing after only playing for 10-15 minutes. This has been an issue for the past 5-6 months. Everything freezes, then it takes me straight to the EA home screen. I did have mods, but I figured that was the issue after a month or so, so I deleted all of them and cleared the Sims folder of everything the mods added. I'm not sure what the issue could be, any ideas? thanks in advance

    natski45  You did do it right, and it looks like the problem is Sims 4's DirectX 9 mode, which isn't compatible with your laptop's graphics chip.  So please force the game to use DirectX 11 mode instead.  Open the EA App, click Sims 4 > Manage > View properties, and add -dx11 to the command line box.

    natski45  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
