sims 4 launch time

since the update two days ago, the game will not get past the first launch screen after the sims 4 title. i’m talking 10-20-30 minutes and still nothing. i’ve taken out every mod, deleted the game and reinstalled it, repaired it multiple times and nothing will bring it to the menu screen whatsoever. i’ve turned off every setting i can think of, nothing is working at this point. i’m used to a 5 minute wait and that’s with over 800 mods in the game, so 30 minutes on loading up the basegame is genuinely ridiculous given the two updates that just came out.

    aaliyahsimss​  If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  If it copies instead of moving, or you get an error when trying to move it, stop here and let me know.

    Otherwise, when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

    If this doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
