Sims 4 legacy save not loading

Please help. Ever since the update on July 1st I have been experiencing this issue. I can't open my sims 4 legacy save. I can't acces the household. Like I can load into the world but the minute I click on the household the game is in infinite loading screen. I can also make new games without a problem.

I have tried everything to fix this. Updated my mods, ran better exceptions, did what they told me, put my folder into mod hound. Everything. When better exceptions told me there was a problem with wonderful whims I deleted it and still I keep getting stuck in loading screen. I can't find any broken cc nothing.

Please help me. I'm desperate. I am going insane over here.

I found the solution!! Turns out it was one of my mods. It was the functional water bowl for dogs and cats mod. It didn't get picked up by any detectors. I tried the 50/50 method and it worked. Thanks anyways for the help you have given me!

  • dreksteut1  Please delete any lastexceptions you currently have in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  Try again to load your main household and see whether you get a new LE.  If you do, please copy its text and paste it into a reply here.  I don't want a BetterExceptions report, just the raw file.

Please continue to test with no mods or custom content at all.

  • I did what you told me. I deleted all the exception files and opened up the household. I got into the forever loading screen again. I let it sit for a few minutes and took a look in the Sims 4 folder for new exceptions. Nothing. There is no new lastexception.

If that's not the issue, please try loading the house in Build mode.  Use Load Game rather than Resume, and select the house on the Manage Worlds screen.  Let me know whether this works.

Please also try moving the sims to a different lot, either a blank one or a default EA-made house, and see whether you can load them there.  If not, split the household into individual sims, on various other lots, to find out whether the problem is limited to one of them.

  • dreksteut1  Well, yes, that's why I asked you to test with no mods or custom content.  In the future, please do that rather than only saying you did and that it didn't help.
