Sims 4 not loading then closing game.

So I hav even having issues with my game for some time now, to the point that I have purchased added stuff for my laptop to be able to actually play the game. I get past the mains screen where I decide to play, it will load for a few seconds da and then the game shuts down with no error message, no explanation at all why its crashing.

I dont use mods, I have no custom content (I know I'm boring) and I have purchased every expansion pack. I have upgraded my laptop and it can run the game no problems. For some reason I just cant seem to play the game.

I'm almost at the point of just selling my origin account with all my games because of it.

Anyone know any ideas I can try? I have tried so many different things.

The problem is to the weak graphics card and too little RAM memory. Your graphics chip has too little memory and must use system memory. In this situation, the card and game are fighting for this memory with the Windows system, which also needs this memory. Windows and graphics chip always win and your game loses.
You can try to lower the graphics requirements in the game options, but I'm afraid this will not help much.

The reason could be corrupted files in the game folder.
    How to check it?

Go to Documents/ElectronicArts - inside will be The Sims4 folder
Step 1. Rename The Sims4 folder to "The Sims4 old"
Step 2. Fix the game in Origin
Origin/Library - right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Step 3. Turn on the game - a new game folder will be created and you will have two - one old, one new
Step 4. Check if you still have this problem in the newly created game folder. Start a new game with random sim, save it and quit. Try to start again this saved game.
    If the problem disappeared
Step 5. Delete in the new game folder following folders:
    "saves" and Tray.
Step 6. Go to "The Sims 4 old" folder and copy - your "saves " folder.
Step. 7, Paste this folder in a newly created game folder.
Step 8. Do the same with Tray folder and TrayDeleteItems file
Step. 9. If all is OK - delete The Sims4 old folder. Now you will have only one game folder working properly.

If the new folder will not work with old save, it means that the old save is so damaged that it can not be repaired.

If it will not work even with this new test save in the new game folder could you post your Computer's DxDiag?

Shoot!! I was hoping it would be something simple! So the only thing I can do is get a new computer?

I have lowered the graphics of the game already and it still crashing.

Thank you for your insight to this. I guess its time for a new computer!

  • I had the same problem, it was because of some umbrella cc in Mods file

I deleted my game my EA app 2 times
