Sims 4 not working after update? Help?

So I tried to play sims 4 and it wouldn’t let me play unless I updated it. I do the update, then it installs an ea app? I wait for THAT to finish downloading, and when I finally click on my game I get an error message:

Unable to start:
Cannot start because the below file appears to be corrupted.
Please repair or reinstall the game via Origin.
C-\Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps\ common\The Sims
4 Data Client ClientDeltaBuildO.package
[bdbb60ea:29f00e76/00000000:000000001]

I’m obviously pissed. I’ve never had issues playing before and now all of a sudden my game is corrupted? Any advice or what should I do? I spent a lot of money on this game.

  • @KRP2001  Try repairing the game in Steam: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 4 tile, and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of the game files.

If that doesn't help, try deleting the file in your error message and repairing again.  The repair should download a fresh copy of the file.

If that doesn't help either, please let me know what antivirus you use.

@puzzlezaddict It did not help, sorry. I can´t find the file and no idea how to repair it. When I click properties, no option `local files´appear. Thnaks <3

@tayecuianachina  What issue are you having when you try to play?  If you get an error, please post a screenshot.

To repair the game in the EA App, open the App game library, click Sims 4, and select Manage > Repair.
