Sims 4 Packs not installing — “haywire”

Hello!

I switched from laptop to a PC. I downloaded the EA app, and while I’m able to download base game Sims 4, any time I try to install any of the expansions I get a “something went haywire” notification.

To be frank, I’m frustrated. Is there anything I can do?

@ryeewhiskee  Before deleting anything, please post a screenshot of the contents of this folder so I can see what you're dealing with here.

@puzzlezaddict Ok but it won't be for about an hour. I have to run down the street and help someone. Hopefully you will still be around

@puzzlezaddict Not sure how to add it here as it won't let me

    Local disk C>Program files>EA Games>The sims 4 create a sims demo

    Hope that helps

@ryeewhiskee  You should be able to upload any image that's a reasonable size.  A fraction of your screen snipped with Windows key-shift-S should be fine.

Regardless, your packs shouldn't be in the CAS demo folder, and it's no wonder that the EA App is confused here.  What I would suggest is uninstalling the entire game as well as the CAS demo and reinstalling into a different location, using Origin as it's more reliable at this point.

If you can't uninstall Sims 4 and the CAS demo with Origin or the EA App, use Revo Uninstaller to remove the games.

If for some reason you want to keep the CAS demo, uninstall and reinstall just Sims 4, through Origin.  When reinstalling, choose a different folder as the location (under Applications > Installs & Saves), just to be thorough.  I'd suggest this anyway as the next step if deleting the pack folders didn't help.
