You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
Still having saving issues. They need to add this to their laundry list. After reading the patch notes, looks like there was a save problem before they patched it for February, caused by skin tones. This is sloppy coding. Did someone negate the saving issue to something else within the code? Unbelievable.
I am still having this problem. I know it must be such a bother but I can't get help anywhere else. Why is my save reverting repeatedly? Why does the saves in-gmae get named to "scratch" despite me changing the name or not choosing a name? Mods are not the cause of this. I've repaired, reset my files, tested other ways but no. Only starting a brand new game fixes this with and without mods installed. I refuse to give up my 16+ generation over yet another bug caused by the dev team.

- Press Windows-Key + R
- Type: DxDiag
- Click on Save all Information.
- Attach the Text File to your post
When you did the factory reset above, did the same happen on a new save or just on that same one ?
