Sims 4 Seasons - Holidays aren't happening...

So 3 days ago I factory reset my sims 4 game because I wanted to start a fresh. 

Since then though the holidays aren't happening? So I'll get the notification thr day before saying a holiday is happening tomorrow and I can clearly see them on the calender but come 6am the next day when the holiday is suppose to start it just doesn't ☹️ 

Completely disappears on the calender for the day too. This goes for all holidays including the random ones like 'talk like a pirate day too.

This never happened to me in my old game and i use to use so many mods and cc!! I have tried exiting the game and going back in but still the same. With my new game I don't use any mods at present and only have 4 items of CC which aren't broken. I have all the game packs and right this second as I type this out I am repairing my game as I'm not sure what else to do ☹️ 

I can't find anything on Google where this has happened to anyone else so has anyone got any suggestions? Or has this happened to anyone else?

UPDATE: Just realised it's not loading the city living events either like the spice festival at. ☹️ I'm getting the notifications saying they're in town but when I travel to them they aren't there! So frustrated! Have repaired my game and nothing has changed ☹️

    Hi @

    did you move over your save files or start fresh with that as well ?

    Did you move any of the other files back except those for cc things ?

    In order to get to the festival you must click on the notification about it and do not travel to the place where it is theoretically to take place,
    But I also noticed some strange situations in my game. If my sim lives in the apartament near where the festival is located, you will not receive any information. If my sim stays in San Mishuo, he will not get any information about the special calendar days. However, if this day is starting and my sim is visiting for example in Oasis at this time , this information will appear,
    It's a bit strange to me because it only applies to active families living in Mishuo. Another sim who lives in New Crest has all this information.
    However, I am waiting for Tuesday's patch to see how it will work later. To tell the truth this bug does not bother me in the game.

    Thanks for the reply. 

    I have always travelled to events either through the info or when someone has invited me I have never just travelled through the map.

    Hey @crinrict thanks for replying, i did what they called a Factory reset.. so I uninstalled my game from the laptop then removed my Sims 4 folder from documents/electronic arts and reinstalled my game so it replaced it like brand new

    When i first started my game after FR the holidays where working fine so I'm not sure what has happened in the last 48 hours that has caused this "/

    @crinrict have just taken my CC out and repaired again so will see if that works if not I will start a new save.. do you mean a whole new save game or just a new household?
