  • ItzCashmere​  I've split your post into its own thread since the other thread was very old.  Thanks for providing a dxdiag.  Have you tried with playing with no mods or custom content though?  If not, please remove your Mods folder and test; you don't need to save your progress.  The type of error in your dxdiag is sometimes caused by outdated mods or cc.

    Please also try playing in DirectX 11 mode rather than DX9 as you're currently doing.  If you switched within the game, remove Options.ini from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, which will reset all your in-game options to defaults, including running DX11 instead.  If you forced DX9 mode within the EA App or Steam, remove the -dx9 command line argument.

    Having said all that, a white or black screen on launch was previously very common (not as much these days) on HP gaming laptops with hardware in the same category as yours.  So if the above suggestions don't help, try these, none of which has worked for everyone but all of which help some players:
