Sims 4 update has deleted everything!

Hello, on the 2nd June I clicked to load up Sims 4; Origin had an update to do (I presumed this was a normal update since it highlighted it was updating bug fixes etc) however, once it was completed and my game finally booted EVERYTHING was gone! I have no saves! There are none to be found in my saves folder in my documents either!

The game wanted me to start from the beginning, creating a character, just like when the game was first installed!

I still have the holiday celebration pack but not the clothes etc given at Valentines.

My Origin account still says that I have 245 hours of playing time, yet there is no evidence of this any more ☹️

I've tried restoring my PC to a previous date, but that has made no difference, they're still all gone.

Please if someone has had this issue can you help!

Thanks!

Log into your account on Origin. In your game library rightclick the Sims 4 and select repair.

Are you the same poster as above with a different ID?

  • @JLM1200 Didn't help at all, I had no mods. I saved very frequently when I played in a bunch of save slots but everything was still deleted. I lost nearly 100 hours of gameplay including a family that was on gen 3.
  • I already did that, I've been playing sims for years and this isn't the first time my files have gone missing after an update. I can usually find them and recover the data, but this time they are nowhere to be found. The folders don't exist.

In that case it seems that you accidentally deleted them. Try looking in trash.
