Sims 4 will not open due to an error

I have just bought a new laptop so there are no files on it. I logged into my ea account and downloaded sims 4 which I had already had since 2018. Every-time I press the app or press launch on EA it comes up with a system error which says “the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP140.all was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem” I have repaired the app on EA several times and have uninstalled and reinstalled sims 4 but it’s still not working. Please help
