sims 4 won't close ??

Question

hiii!!! i have the sims 4 on windows and whenever i try to press the options menu in the top right corner, nothing shows up?? i press it and the icon bounces but the menu with the option to save and exit game won't load. i went back to my home screen and tried to exit the sims by pressing the X button on the side in the small window, but again, it does nothing?? i believe this is due to a ui mod i downloaded the day before which impacts the game's display to make it a "dark mode" and that the file may have been outdated, but when i go to my mods folder and attempt to delete the file it says i have to close my game first, which i obviously can't do. please help quick!! <3

kirattt&nbsp; Restarting your computer would close the game, or you could close it in the Task Manager.&nbsp; If you want to try saving your progress, try clicking alt-F4 instead, with the game window in focus.&nbsp; The Return key will select whichever option (save and quit, hopefully) is highlighted.
