English isn‘t my „first“ language.)First of all hey,I downloaded Sims 4 Island Living and I love it but there is a problem (or maybe not and I understand something wrong). So in this pack Sims can get a tan or a sunburn. The „action“ is there and after the „sunbath“ it says if your Sim is browner or has sunburn. My sims had both but you cannot see on the sims if they have a sunburn or if they are browner. The skin stays „normal“ (like before). Is it normal or is this a problem with the Game?Ps: I don‘t have mods.Thanks!

My problem is solved. I have removed all of my mods, and it turned out that custom skins were causing the problem. They have not been updated so they are not programmed to show tan and sunburns with happen to the underneath skin.

@AL40491It sounds logical but you forgot one thing. In the meantime, there were a lot of game patches and after each patch, some CC will be corrupted and will no longer be compatible with the game.If you wouldn't be done any updates to the game, this tan would still work. Remove all skins from the mods folder and test one by one to find which one is broken.I don't work for EA

HI @SDQOW13 does no mods include no CC ? If you have nothing but the resource.cfg in your mods folder, could you post a picture of your in game graphics settings ?

@MikeTWildeSome mods use skins.You didn't have to install CC skins yourself. In order for this error to occur it is enough that you have a mod that uses it.So if you have any mods move the mods folder to the desktop and try without itI don't work for EA

If you have nothing but the resource.cfg in your mods folder, could you post a picture of your in game graphics settings ?

I am also having this problem. I do have mods but i took them all out and tried and same result.

my graphic settings are:
sims: high
objects: low
lighting: medium
reflections: low
visual effects: medium
edge smoothing: off
3D Scene resolution: high
view distance: high
laptop mode off

Same here, I also have mods that I’ve tried taking out. No luck though.

You, guys on lighter skin tone its harder to see the tan is very light. its hard to see on really dark skin tones, I think you can see it on medium range skin towns, but Aliens I don't think the tan shows on alien sims, but vampires can't tan, because the sun is death to them.

@paigem1999 Could you guys try if it makes any difference if you play around with reflections and lighting ? Setting them on higher settings ?

i have the exact same problem! my sims don't even get burned, any of them, not even npc sims
They DO get the "ouch, your sim is burned" but they don't become red-ish or tan...

Same problem! I had the tanning mod before, deleted it and had a batch fix through sims studio. My sims won't get a tan nor a sunburn, even it says they're burned. I also have the 'only teeth showing' problem! Random townies have only teeth showing, no eyes no nothing! I've been trying to solve these problems by deleting the localthumbchache file, also by retrieving the mods backed up when applying the batch fix, deleting and updating some mods. It won't work!!!! Please help ☹️

They sat out in the sun for a couple hours on Sulanil, but got no tan. I got moodlets they were burnt, but they were pale as a ghost. They even acted in pain afterwards, from burn. White as a ghost. Please help.
