Sims game stuck on pause then freezes

Hello Everyone,

The last couple of times i have played my game it was been stuck on pause and i then try to unpause it and it gets stuck and freezes . I have to restart my whole computer. i have tried everything from removing mods to making sure they are updated to creating a new sims 4 folder and to no avail NOTHING seems to work. I'm usually pretty good at fixing my game when it messes up but this time i can not figure out what's going on , 😞this has never happened to me before. PLEASE HELP.

    Muffinsmom21​  Does this happen in a new save as well?  Please test and let me know.

    Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
