Sims stuck in windowed mode

The Game is stuck in Windowed Mode. I’ve tried everything but it’s stuck like this and I don’t know any other option to fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated

@BeeamerrBoyy  Switch to 2560x1080 in-game, quit the game, restart your computer, load Sims 4 again, and then let me know whether you can switch to fullscreen mode or if you're already in it.  If you can't switch to fullscreen, or doing so changes the resolution to something else, cancel the change and try using windowed fullscreen instead.  Let me know the results and we can go from there.

I did everything and it’s still the same. Also thank you for your patience.

  • When launching The Sims 4 with an Ultrawide monitor, the resolution is not applied to the splash screen where everything is stretched (the EA Logo, Maxis Logo, Sims 4 Logo) . Additionally, it does not seem to apply to the main menu.

  • Skyline7284  I've merged your post with a longer thread about this issue.  It's how the game has been for a while now, as far as I can tell.  And since the map is only going to be a certain size, I doubt this is fixable without some distortion, or alternately enlarging the map but not showing all of it at once.

I feel like if there are mods that can support widescreen menus that it shouldn't be too difficult for EA to implement.

I'm specifically talking about the first screens as you boot the game. The EA Logo and Maxis Logo are both stretched, which should be a solvable problem. The Main Menu is obviously a different can of worms, but again if a modder can do it, I don't see how the dev's can't atleast consider it.

Is it worth the time to implement? That obviously isn't my expertise, but I still think it would be a nice QoL improvement for Ultrawide users.
