Sims4 household and saves vanished

Hi, i have a question I've just gotten a new laptop and have downloaded EA sims4 with all my packs and have loaded the sims up and none of my households/sims are there like they never existed. It looks like when you first download the game and start playing for the first time making your first sim, there's no saves or loads all of my Sims have gone and I'm not sure if its because its not on origin or if its because i have a new laptop. i have searched and its telling me loads of different things such as going through my OneDrive but not really explaining what to do on it or its something to do with a firewall, I've never had this problem before and i have been playing the Sims for a very long time. Recently i ahve been playing my boyfriends pc on my account and everything was fine on there. i have logged into my EA account and all my packs have been downloaded just not my actual sims and my saves. i am very confused on what to do and i don't know to how contact EA or if you even can for this sort of thing.

  • @roxydog1737  Saves and other user data are stored locally on your computer, not on EA servers.  So to regain access to those saves, you'll need to manually transfer them to the new computer.  I would suggest zipping the folder first regardless of the transfer method.  Right-click and select Send to > Compressed (zip) file, and to unzip, right-click and select Extract.

Here's a description of everything in the user folder, so you know what else you'd want to preserve:
