A blank screen in The Sims 4 after closing Create-a-Sim (CAS) is usually caused by outdated or broken mods/custom content (CC), or corrupted game cache files. The primary fix is to remove the Mods folder, delete localthumbcache.package from the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder, and run a game repair.
