Snowy escape - "shout and listen to echo together" interaction crashes game

I am playing the hike on Snowy Escape in Yukimatsu and the game crashes whenever the "shout and listen together" interaction is selected. 

I am playimg with 2 sims and the second sim's queue suddenly became spammed with this interaction many times. I took a screenshot before my game crashed. 

The hikes are also generally buggy in general and I am also having issues with nothing happening when clicking either option of "collect" or "make a wish" on the forest spirits.  No mods installed.
