Snowy Escape & Nifty Knitting won't install from Steam to Origin [SOLVED]

I recently bought a bunch of packs to add to my Sims 4 game. I previously connected Sims 4 between Origin and Steam and have bought various packs on both platforms. Every single pack works except for Snowy Escape EP and Nifty Knitting SP. On Steam, it shows that all my steam DLCs are installed. I 'checked' Snowy Escape and Nifty Knitting off my DLC list and then had Steam re-update/re-install the games. I also restarted my PC and restarted Origin and reinstalled Origin but still, Origin recognises that I own the games but that I have to download them on Steam to get the content.

I have also repaired my games. I'm not sure what else to do.

  • Hey, so I copy and pasted the EP10 and SP17 folders from the steam folder to origin and it magically worked.

  • @TGamez1 Unfortunately this hasn't worked ☹️

It may be an issue with Steam but I'm not sure how to clear caches etc or if you can through Steam. If you know anything else in regards to Steam that would be fantastic but in the meantime I'll try to do some research and find out what I can do.

Thank you for the quick reply however!
  • @EmzyDalsvida  Are the packs actually installed, as in, do their folders exist on your hard drive, and do they load in-game?  For the pack folders, their location will depend on where you've installed Sims 4, but in any case, they should be in the Sims 4 game data folder, the one that's usually installed into Program Files (x86).  You're looking for the EP10 and SP17 folders, and the ones sitting right inside the Sims 4 folder, not the ones inside Delta.

Please also let me know what game version you're running.  Load the game to the Main Menu, where you can choose to load a save or start a new one, and look along the bottom of the screen, or in the lower right corner.  Please list the entire version, i.e. 1.xx.xx.xxxx.

@puzzlezaddict Hi there, thanks for the response.

No, the game packs are not installed and are not listed among the other packs in the folders that are numbered.

I have updated my game as far as I know how to. I also uninstalled the games on steam then reinstalled them for the past 3 hours. Still, Nifty Knitting and Snowy Escape are not installed.

This is the version of the game that shows up in game:
    1.69.59.1020

@emmieadams2010  Do you play through Origin or Steam, and do you run the standard version of Sims 4 or the Legacy Edition?  Does Nifty Knitting show as installed?
