realluffyy What folder are you renaming, and what is its location? Please right-click the folder, select Properties > General, then post the Location. Please also post the game's install location, as seen in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.
It sounds like you're renaming the game's program files, which is unnecessary and not likely to solve any issues. But perhaps you've combined the program files with the user folder and that's why you're renaming it. Point is, I'd like to know your setup.

it kept uninstalling because i wasn't exiting the right way, i was just force closing it and it wasn't saving that i had it downloaded, i was trying to rename the sim 4 game data so its easy for me to move my mod and the other sim 4 folder in my ssd, if i don't rename it, it moves it to the same folder. thank you for your help though
realluffyy That doesn't make any sense. Force-closing the game shouldn't do any damage to the game's program files, and it certainly wouldn't uninstall anything.
If you still need help, please tell me where the game is installed, as I described in my previous post.
