Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Normal foods from street vendors in Snowy Escape are usually available, however on festival days, stalls that were supposed to sell crepes, taiyaki and other Snowy Escape festival foods only sold produce. I have not come across anyone with this problem and even asked other groups if they had the same problem but it seems to me that it only occurs in my game.

I have removed all Mods and CC, reinstalled the game, repaired it but on festivals, the vendors only sell food produce, and not the festival foods.

  • Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

  • Thanks! Deleting the files in folder manually (created back up first) really helped instead of just uninstalling it. Works perfectly fine now.

I am having the same issue, it was fine when  I removed everything and started fresh, but after I put my saves back (no mods, tray anything else) I got produce and not the actual food options

    Sorry I thought it was linked to the thread;

In snowy Escape the vendor doesn't sell the specialist food, only produce.

When I removed everything and started a new save, they sold the ususal, crepes dango etc

but after putting back just my saves folder (no cc, no mods, no tray etc) they sold only produce again.

@toriajane_x  I just meant that it would be good to be descriptive because often the OP reports a problem that not in all accounts match everyone else's experience.

Which festival? And where does your sims live?

All festivals, and on the brand new save there was no festival, but a stall was open.

The family in my regular save are from Brindleton Bay, in the fresh save the family was from Mt Komorebi

@toriajane_xAlso having same issue with the Sims Sessions festival stalls, which is really annoying since these items will eventually be gone and I will never be able to get them ☹️
