My game failed to launch today so I restarted my computer and now it's asking me to download the game (and all packs) again. Nothing has been uninstalled or deleted from my computer so I am hesitant to start downloading things that should actually be there already. I'm happy to see that my packs still show up as owned anyway. What should I do in order to be able to play the game again?
helloshhh It's fine to "download" the game to the location where it's already installed. The EA App may not even download the data; it may simply verify the files and finish the install process. Or it might replace some or all files.
As for the reason this happened, it could be that your antivirus quarantined part of the game, making the App think it's not installed anymore. In that case, you would need to reinstall it to replace the missing file(s). This could also have other causes, but if it doesn't happen again, I'd ignore it.
Thank you! It actually solved itself later in the evening. Suddenly I just had the play button as usual and I was able to play :)
