o_chlo Sorry for the late reply; I've been away from the forums for a while. (And this is in fact the correct place to post, it's just that not many people are trying to help here.)
This laptop would be fine for Sims 4 if you didn't absolutely need to play on ultra graphics settings. You might be able to play on ultra, or maybe not, depending on your play style, your extra content (mods, cc, ReShade, etc.), and how smooth you wanted the game to be.

Thank you so much, I did end up buying a laptop because I needed one ASAP (I use it for work too!). I went for an intel ultra 7 processor with arc graphics and so far, gameplay has been completely seamless! I don’t use any mods or CC, although I’m considering some mods so we will see how that goes later down the line 🤣
