    No, the skills that they've gained as teens were disappearing. They've gained charisma, comedy, fitness and vampire lore reading the books and it all disappeared saying they have no skills, but they were still gaining more but it wasn't showing up. After ignoring it, the game seemed to have fixed itself.

Did you also test a new save to see if the same happens on a fresh save (for testing purposes ?)

Children have different skills than teens and as long as you didn't get any of the teen ones while you were a child, then you'll loose them cause they are different. If you reached level 10 in the childhood ones, you get a head start for the teen ones.
