The Sims 4 is using up all of my bandwidth

GabrielleAlicia​  I specifically meant connecting your phone to your computer while your phone is using data, as in, your computer is using your phone's data rather than your home wifi.  I was wondering whether there was some kind of issue related to your home wifi network, not that it's broken overall but that it and Sims 4 aren't playing well together.  So please try exactly that if you haven't already.

Separately, do you know when this started?  The most recent patch created a file that looks like EA data collection to some of us, and it's created even with the App in offline mode; the only way to stop it, other than to deny permission to the folder it's in, is to take the computer offline.  So I'm wondering whether this is just a result of the newest patch (and perhaps this new "feature") or preceded it.
