The sims 4 just won’t open

My the sims 4 just won’t open. It doesn’t show anything, when I click it to launch it just doesn’t and open EA app.

i have tried changing the folder’s name, taking out my CC, executing EA as admin but nothing works. Can someone help me?

  • A112341  If you have any files in ConfigOverride, please delete them.

Otherwise, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you still can't play, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

None worked, also when taken off the Eletronic Arts folder, when I start the game it goes back there again..was this supposed to happen? The last thing I can do i guess is to uninstall EA and install it again. If it does not happen I don’t know what to do.

  • A112341  Did you move the Electronic Arts folder, and it immediately reappeared?  Or are you saying it was recreated when you tried to play?  The former would likely be OneDrive related; the latter is normal, in that the game creates a new folder when it starts to load.

I do need to see a dxdiag to help further though.
