The Sims 4 Product code

I am trying to install the Sims 4 on my PC and the product code is not working when I input it on the origin. Today I went and exchanged The Sims 4 that my daughter got yesterday for Christmas thinking that maybe it was an error with the game and the product code. I have tried to install it again using the new game and code and I am still receiving the error that my code is invalid. If you can please help me resolve this issue quickly , I have a child that has been waiting since this game was released to play and had patently waited for Christmas to get this game and now is very disappointed that she has the game but can not play it. Thank you very much

    I did finally figure it out… The problem I was having was due to me not having an origin account. I'm not much of a gamer and I was not aware that I needed to so this. I hope that this will help other people that are in the same boat! After returning my item , standing in line for 30 minutes to get a new game with a new product code, and it's still not working my frustration level was very high. All is well now and the Sims four is now currently being played in our home. And all that it took was me signing up for an origin account.

    I'm in EXACTLY same situation with 12 yr old daughter. Tears on this end.

    same here don't know why but mine isn't working either I want to cry right about now. hopefully if I contact them they will give me one that will work!

    If you have not figure out what was wrong yet You need to sign up for an origin account. That solved my problem I hope it solves yours.

    Can you guys tell me where the product code is loacted i cant find it.

    @annaleece86 : If you have a digital version, the code is on Origin but you should not need it to install the game. If it's a box version, you will find a little paper with a code inside the box.

    I've got this same problem, and trying to contact the help chat thing is pointless! I've been  seeing "please wait while we connect you to the next available advisor for SIX HOURS!!! It's a joke! WHY CAN'T THEY HAVE EMAIL LIKE A NORMAL COMPANY.

    what is the point i asked them to see if they could help but no said they cant do anything I cant even download it.I got a CD thought it would just come up like normal games on pc do but no had to go through a survey.I returned the CD and Im think CANT THEY JUST MAKE IT EASIER TO PLAY?

    Oh , I'm very sorry to hear that. If you buy a redeemable disc at a local store, game stop, etc it may not be able to be redeemed through Origin and may have to buy in on the site itself. I have had this problem to and its not a problem with the game. I suggest buying the game over an Origin account with a credit card and it will work for you hopefully.
