The sims 4 shuts down without a warning

Sims 4 shuts down without a warning.

I am having some trouble with the Sims 4. I am in the EA creator Network, so I got all the packs, and love the game. But after the most recent updates, it is just unplayable for me. The game will just close, without a warning, no errors, nothing, and then I'm left to open it again, and again and again. It happens after 2-10 min of playing. I have tried to repair the game, uninstall the whole thing and reinstall it as a clean install, but the problem is still there.. This is the only game I have this problem with

I have updated my drivers for my GTX card. I have updated Windows, and the windows security program I have repaired the game in the EA launcher I have preformed a clean uninstall and reinstall of the game, with all new files and no cc or mods

  • auvbri  Please try playing immediately after restarting your computer, with nothing else running aside from the EA App, not even a browser window.  Let me know whether this helps at all.

Please also post a fresh dxdiag.

puzzlezaddictSo the game didnt shot down immediately this time. It took a while. But I kinda cant record anything when I can only have the Sims open and nothing else. Again, don't have this problem with any other app or game on my computer 🤷‍♂️

I have attached the dxdiag file here:

  • auvbri  Do you currently have CPU Turbo Boost enabled?  I ask because I see one crash that looks like the overclocking issue I mentioned earlier.  Please double-check the BIOS setting in case it reverted, which could happen if you updated your BIOS again.

Please also run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here

Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

If that doesn't help, please try the clean boot again—your dxdiag lists a few different crashes of other software, and these may or may not be affecting Sims 4.  Don't open anything else the first time around, but if the game is stable overall, you can start adding back your recording software and anything else you actually need to have running while you play.

puzzlezaddictSo I've been in my BIOS, and have turned everything off with a anything related to CPU Boost, or CPU Turbo

I have also been running the checks you asked, in this is the result that I got:
PS C:\Users\auvbr> sfc /scannow Beginning system scan. This process will take some time. Beginning verification phase of system scan. Verification 100% complete. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them. For online repairs, details are included in the CBS log file located at windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For offline repairs, details are included in the log file provided by the /OFFLOGFILE flag. PS C:\Users\auvbr>

There was no updates to windows.

So I have tried to run the game without "playing" it, to see if it would close down, and then started to slowly add OBS and such. as of now, 10 min of actually playing the game while recording without the game shutting down, so that's good news
