After the Update, the game crashes during start-up, it will not load the game, I never had an issue with starting the game until the recent update, and have followed numerous instructions in the help forums to get it working, including uninstalling/installing orgin, unistalling/installing The Sims 4 numerous times, deleting cache files, etc... Nothing has alleviated the issue. As of now the game just crashes time and time again, as stated earlier, there was no issue with crashing until the 11/25/2014 - Version 1.2.24.20 Update.

The New Update 12/16/2014, somehow fixed everything, and made the game run better... wierd. Not an issue anymore.

Your CPU is below minimum requirements so it's possible that a new patch pushes it over the edge.

Also your graphics drivers are from 2013. Try going to the Nvidia site and update it.

What graphics settings do you play on ? Low ?

Ok, I got to the plumbob loading screen(after updating my g-card) then it crashes, as before it never got past start-up, atleast its a small win, now as for the min requirements im not sure i get what you are saying as the game i bought only suggests a 1.8ghz intel core 2 duo, as i have a 2.0ghz, and a graphics card, so how can an update require me to upgrade the cpu... that doesnt make any sense, its like going to the car dealership to get new tires and them telling you, "by the way you need to replace the engine for these tires". The game worked great with no issues and on high graphics settings prior to the update, and now it goes, kaput...(except now, only at the plumbob loading screen). Horray for small successes...

Sorry. mIxup with the hz number for Sims 3, but it's still borderline.

A new patch is definitly not like new tires.

Are you using also downloads in your game ?

Try this: http://sims4.crinrict.com/en/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/

You can also lower the settings in your options.ini file to see if it starts then

Do you have any lastcrash.txt files ?

Could you post this info:

Click on Start and then type the following into the search prompt at the bottom: perfmon /rel

Press Enter to proceed.

A window will open and in there you can click on the red circles with a white X.

After clicking the X, the info on the bottom will update. Choose the Sims 3 Critical Event one and right click on it and choose "View Technical Details"

Now on the next window, choose Copy to clipboard at the very bottom and post this into a reply to us here.

The New Update 12/16/2014, somehow fixed everything, and made the game run better... wierd. Not an issue anymore.
