The Sims 4 Won't Exit

When I try to exit out of The Sims 4, it doesn't. The game itself and the saves are fine, I just can't exit the game. I typically have to use Alt+Tab to get to my desktop and exit that way.

Does anybody know if this is a bug in the game, or even have any solutions? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have also tried doing a clean boot with no joy.

    What OS do you have? (Mac or Windows)

    And do you 'save and quit' or first 'save' and then 'quit'?

    I'm using Win 10.

    To answer your querey, I have tried saving and exiting, saving then exiting, even saving then returning to the main menu. No joy on any of them when it happens. It occurs about 75% of the time. It's a bit frustrating.

    I have tried a clean reboot prior to my sending the initial post.

    Yes, this has been occurring since I started playing the game.

    Is this an ongoing issue?

    I am having the same problem atm. If you found a solution or someone else knows what to do I would be more than happy to know. 🙂

    Windows 10 as well btw.
