There's No Option To Repair My Sims 4 Game

Since moving from Origin to the EA app I’ve lost the ability to repair my game and it needs it badly. I purchased my game through Stream so I’m thinking maybe that’s the issue, but I don't really know. I’ve tried reinstalling my whole entire game and all the packs but that didn’t help. Is anyone else having this issue?

  • @bannabelle97  Yes, this is because you've installed via Steam.  To repair the game, open your Steam library, right-click the Sims 4 tile, and select Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of the game files.

If this doesn't help, please let me know what issue(s) you're currently seeing.

Thank you for this, but I can't seem to find my Verify integrity. I went to the Properties, then to the  Browse local files, but Verify integrity is not popping up. Is it a folder or something? I just can't seem to find it.

@tanktop2012  I don't have Sims 4 installed through Steam, but for my other Steam games, the option is now under Properties > Installed files.

@puzzlezaddict There is no local files option when I select properties, just general, updates, betas, controller, DLC, game recording and privacy.

@angelliciso  Look under General, and then the other categories if you don't see "Verify integrity of the game files" anywhere else.
