This game is unplayable.

Hey EA, I’ve had just about enough of this. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled my game, attempted to repair it multiple times, removed all mods and CC from my game, even updated it this morning when I found there was a new update waiting. And this game can’t even get past the title screen before kicking me out? I get it, technical issues happen, but I expect a game I’ve spent $1,000+ and thousands of hours on to work at the very least. And it’s not like all of my Sims titles are broken, just the one I enjoy most. What’s more frustrating is that I can’t talk to an actual person on the team to help me resolve this issue.

  • mystere14  If you'd still like help, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
