Mommyof2_88 Your computer's graphics chip is under the minimum requirement for Sims 4, so I wouldn't be surprised if adding ReShade/GShade is a problem. Both add to the graphics rendering load, sometimes significantly, and your graphics chip would already be maxed out with the game itself.
Having said that, if you still want to try, make sure you're downloading the version of ReShade or GShade that's built for the version of Sims 4 you're running. Your game would default to DirectX 9, and running the DX11 version of ReShade/GShade would cause significant problems; and vice versa if you happened to force DX11 mode instead.
