The game does not recognize my video card. I also do not have the file that most guides for this tells me to edit, GraphicsCards.sgr. I cannot find it anywhere in my files. I've even tried redownloading all of the files and yet it has not shown up. I'd love to play this game so if someone could help that would be great!
Gracydatabase Since your game is running, the GraphicsCards.sgr file has to be present. It would be in [install location]\The Sims 4\Game\Bin, here by default for an EA App or Steam install:
C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
However, you can ignore the unrecognized video card error unless you have other game issues. When a GPU is unrecognized, that simply means the game has to guess which graphics settings to choose by default, but you can change the settings however you want regardless.
