Visual glitch pls send holy guidance

I dont know where to post this to ask for help!? The other day, I was in build-mode trying to work on a joint bedroom for 2 sims. I decided to take a break and close the game, but when I came back, all of my posters had this weird pixelation around it. This wasn't there before. I turned off my shaders, and it was still there. When you zoom out, it gets REALLY evident and is driving me crazy - because they're glitching and look like flies swarming around. I provided an image without shaders and one from before the glitching happened. I didn't download any mods before playing the game again, and I'm always repairing it with the EA app because typing in the command cheats bar sometimes decides it doesn't want to work. Please God help...

  • Smowkii  If you delete the posters, do the black dots disappear?  You don't need to save your progress, but I'm curious as to whether this helps, and if so, whether the problem comes back when you put the posters back, or place other posters in the same location.

Please test with at least some non-cc posters.

Hello! I just opened the game again and did some testing. CC posters and maxis posters are not the ones glitching, it just seems to be the decals. I checked with both CC and maxis decals, they both have the glitchy lines around the object. I moved them all, the lines followed - went to another wall to add new ones and see if they also had the same problem - and they did.

  • Smowkii  Please test a new save with no mods or custom content present.  Use Maxis decals, since you know they're affected at times, and let me know what happens.

If you see the same issues, and you have any files in ConfigOverride, please remove them and test again.

If that doesn't help either, set your graphics options to Ultra, with laptop mode and post processing disabled.  (You'll need to restart the game after changing the settings.)  Even if your computer doesn't run the game well on these settings, it won't do any harm to load a new save and look around a bit.
