Why is my game freezing when I try to can anything

For some reason my game won’t let my sims jar (cooking)  anything. My whole game freezes once she’s completed the jars. I would really love to be able to because it fits my whole game vibe of living off the earth and everything! Please help me lol!!!

    lillypad25  Does this happen with no mods or custom content present?  Please test if you haven't already; you don't need to save your progress.
